One of those experts is Matthew George, one of our experienced Quality & Training Officers.
With almost 20 years in the construction materials testing industry, Matt’s journey began in 2006. Since then, he’s built up a wealth of knowledge across a wide range of testing disciplines, giving him a comprehensive understanding of both the technical and compliance sides of the job. His experience ensures our teams are not only well-trained but also consistently meet, and often exceed the strict benchmarks set by the industry.
But Matt’s real passion lies in developing people. He plays a key role in mentoring our workforce, ensuring technicians have the confidence, skills, and knowledge they need to do their best work.
“I remember my first days in the industry,” Matt says. “I remember my first days in the industry. It felt like everyone was speaking a different language. Spending time with our new starters at the training academy to provide them an introduction to the industry and helping our existing staff increase their skills is something I find very rewarding.”
Whether it’s onboarding new team members or supporting ongoing development, Matt’s dedication is helping to shape the future of Coffey Testing, one skilled technician at a time.
